Is it too late?

Microsoft just ended their support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. Users who haven't updated are stuck with fatal security gaps in their systems and servers.

There's still time to get the security you need.

What happened?

Think of "End-of-Life" as the expiry date for your operating system. For Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, that marked the date when users needed to upgrade to a new OS and cloud computing service.

As of January 14th, 2020, Microsoft will not close security vulnerabilities anymore. That means that if you don’t upgrade, your computers will become more and more vulnerable to malware and other security threats over time.

Will I still get support?

Starting January 14th, 2020, you can expect:

  • No more bug fixes from Microsoft
  • No more tech support from Microsoft
  • No more compatibility with future versions of Microsoft software

Basically, you won't get Microsoft's help until you upgrade your operating system. Don’t panic. We're still here and we’ll get you through the transition without fear.
